The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NQSC) is an independent agency established to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. It is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS services and supports in Australia and works with people with disability, the NDIA, Governments and the sector who together deliver the NDIS.
The NQSC is undertaking a significant change to modernise its regulatory functions, strengthen its operations through efficient data driven decision-making and transition to a more risk- based regulatory approach. The Data and Regulatory Transformation (DART) program is a Commonwealth Tier 1 transformation program that will deliver a suite of interoperable data, systems, tools and new ways of working, allowing the Commission to look across Participant and Provider interactions, predict risks, remediate early, and become a formidable regulator. The Assistant Commissioner, Data, Change and Program Management overseas the Program Management Office, Change, User Experience, and Data Delivery streams under the Data and Regulatory Transformation Program.
The appointee will be a strong people leader who is collaborative and engaging and will drive the transformation agenda across these four streams working collaboratively with the CIO who leads the other streams within the program.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading large, complex transformation programs, ideally within Commonwealth Government. This will include delivering enterprise-wide programs, effectively negotiating and influencing key stakeholders to drive outcomes through collaboration and influence. You will have demonstrated ability to direct and manage significant change agendas through high-level people management and communication. Experience in or understanding of the regulatory context will be important as is an understanding of the disability sector, current issues of quality and safeguards and the role of the NQSC
