The Position

Al-Ameen College is seeking an experienced and inspiring educational leader to the position of Principal.  The College is a K-12 co-educational school providing education to a multi-cultural community within an Islamic environment.  The Principal will serve as both the Chief Executive and educational leader of this fast-growing community, with a new campus planned for opening in 2026.

The Principal of Al-Ameen College offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, collaborative and experienced educational leader to build upon the college’s strong foundations and educational philosophy. The Principal will enhance, the College’s commitment to a holistic education that fosters a culture of rigorous academic learning, seeking knowledge and building future capabilities for students so they can attain their full potential academically, and spiritually and make an active contribution to the broader community.

The Principal must work collaboratively with the College Board, Leadership Team, staff, students, and parents to ensure that the College’s vision and strategic plan are realised, embracing Al-Ameen’s strong sense of self, community outreach and faith.

The ideal candidate will be an inspirational and resilient educational leader aligned to and able to promote the academic focus and the Islamic ethos of the College and can bring the College.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of senior leadership in a K-12 faith-based school with a practical understanding of the tension between secular and non-secular demands. The successful applicant will be able to guide Al-Ameen College into its next phase of growth while maintaining its faith base and focus on academic achievement. The successful applicant will have a deep understanding of educational trends, a strong commercial and financial acumen.

 

The Organisation

Al-Ameen College is a K-12 Islamic school committed to providing an excellent well-rounded educational experience that gives every student the faith and confidence to lead to a principled life while making an active contribution to the community and the world.  The College nurtures the total development of each student in a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive environment with the cooperation of parents, guardians and the College community.

The College was established in 2004 and is an independent Islamic co-educational primary and secondary day school, located in Langford, a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. With approximately 1200 students and 100 staff. The students and families are aspirational with a focus on achieving their full potential. The College community is multi-cultural with approximately 46 ethnicities amongst its students and staff. It is in a phase of growth and will be opening a new campus in Malaga, commencing in 2026 as a Primary school. The Malaga campus is expected to have strong enrolment demand and should grow to a school of approximately 1500 students.
