The Role:
Independent Schools Victoria (ISV) is seeking a Media Advisor to play a pivotal role in shaping the public profile of the organisation and its member schools, enhancing their reputation across various media channels.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, the role is responsible for securing media opportunities, managing media relations, and advising senior spokespeople, including the Chief Executive, for interviews and public engagements. Furthermore, the role will develop engaging content, manage media relations, and support media event coordination, ensuring ISV’s values and objectives are effectively communicated across traditional and digital channels. The Media Advisor will contribute to strategic media planning, monitor media coverage, and respond rapidly during media crises or issues impacting Independent education.
This is a dynamic position that offers the opportunity to influence key media conversations within the education sector.

Membership is voluntary and is open to all registered non-government schools in Victoria. Independent Schools Victoria is a member of the Independent Schools Council of Australia.
It is a member service association supporting more than 230 independent schools state-wide, with over 162,000 students.
