Future Leadership™ was engaged by a not-for-profit early childhood education organisation to fill the role of Chief Executive Officer to design and implement organisational strategy, lead and manage growth, while simultaneously continuing to drive the development of culture and quality improvement.

The Process

Future Leadership™ undertook a comprehensive search process tailored to the organisation’s needs. To find a candidate who is authentic and an empowering people leader, with high emotional intelligence and an unwavering commitment to excellence in delivery and impact.

Key steps included:

  • Engaged with the board to understand the role’s strategic priorities and challenges.
  • Leveraged extensive networks, advertising campaign to identify candidates with demonstrated experience of leading innovation and growth, including developing new offerings and scaling existing programs.
  • Eight candidates were shortlisted, with three who progressed to panel interviews.
  • The final candidate presented strong and accomplished Chief Executive experience in education.

This rigorous process ensured the appointment of a candidate to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

The Outcome

The successful candidate was appointed to the role at the end of January 2025. A skilled and experienced reformer (policy development through to implementation) and values driven, reflective leader who models professionalism.
