The Process

The program commenced with a thorough capability and development needs assessment for each participant. This included individual feedback sessions, establishing Personal Development Plans (PDPs) with each participant working one-on-one executive coach.

Over a period of 12 months, each participant engaged in coaching sessions, focusing on their strengths in leadership and strategic awareness while identifying areas for meaningful growth.

Participants took part in behavioural event interviews, 360-degree feedback assessments, and reflection sessions to increase self-awareness, both from a professional and personal perspective. The program included facilitated workshops designed to build high-performing teams, lead change effectively, and address strategic challenges in uncertain and politically sensitive environments.

The Outcome

The program resulted in a marked improvement in the leadership readiness of the cohort. Participants reported significant growth in self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and strategic influence.

They also developed advanced skills in managing ambiguity and fostering high-functioning teams. With the intense demands on participant’s time in their roles, the ability to focus solely on development was not often a priority and participants reported an appreciation for the time that the program allowed them to do so, reporting significantly increased self-awareness both from a leadership and organisational perspective.

The program’s impact has been evident in the organisation’s enhanced leadership capacity and strategic agility, with a significant number of those who have completed the program promoted to more senior positions. Given its success, the initiative is now being expanded to include additional participants in future cohorts.
