The successful candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant or CPA. With a deep understanding of financial principles and payroll, the candidate must be capable of managing and interpreting financial data within the specific context of a school, including knowledge of its financial drivers and challenges.

The Process
Future Leadership undertook a comprehensive briefing with the Director of Business and Human Resources Manager. In addition to this, the Future Leadership team represented by Katie Hooker conducted a national search utilising our talent pool candidates and referral partner networks.
The Future Leadership team sought to identify a candidate who is a strong communicator. capable of explaining financial concepts to non-financial people across the School in a clear and engaging way. The successful candidate will have proven experience leading change management initiatives, particularly in the implementation of new systems and processes aimed at enhancing financial reporting and overall financial operations within the School.
The selection panel considered an initial list of five candidates, with three candidates progressing to panel interviews.
The Outcome
The successful candidate will begin in the role in 2025. Their previous role was as Financial Controller at Access Health & Community. The successful candidate has worked in various industries, including the not-for-profit sector and law firms, showcasing her adaptability. They are CPA qualified with a tax background. The successful candidate prides themselves on their open communication and leading with compassion.
