Delivering an Interim Executive Solution to Stabilise Technology Operations for a Victorian Public Sector Agency
The Brief
Future Leadership was engaged to appoint an Interim Chief Information Officer for a public sector oversight agency following the short-notice departure of the former CIO. At the time, the organisation was managing several critical projects that required immediate stabilisation, alongside the need to maintain continuity across the broader technology function.
The client needed an experienced interim executive who could step in quickly, provide confidence to stakeholders, and bring structure, oversight and direction during a period of transition.
The Process
The Interim Executive team worked closely with the client to identify an interim technology leader with the experience and judgement to operate effectively from day one in a complex public sector environment.
The successful appointee brought deep experience across technology leadership, service delivery, governance and transformation in government settings. This enabled an immediate focus on stabilising priority projects, restoring momentum across the function, and providing steady executive leadership at a time when the organisation needed both continuity and reassurance.
