The Position
The Andale School Council seeks to appoint an experienced educational leader and relationship builder who has significant experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs for students who have language and learning difficulties.
With whole of school responsibility, the Principal will make a commitment to the professional development of staff while championing the school in the broader community.
Reporting to the Chair and the Andale School Council the appointee will manage the direction of the school and play a key role in collaboration among teachers, staff, students and families to steward the future development of each student with consideration for appropriate pathways beyond Andale. The ideal candidate will be a contemporary thinker who is able to take staff, the School Council and parents on the journey to what is possible for each student. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for special education and possess the experience to review and develop curriculum that will cover key learning areas and support students with ongoing learning and social development needs. Ensuring the standard of service and education is maintained at the highest possible level will be a key element of this role.
