The Brief

Future Leadership was brought on by a tertiary education organisation to work with the CEO and executive team, half of whom were recently recruited.

This organisation had a reputation for academic excellence and strong industry relationships, and was seeking to maintain these standards of performance while expanding its offerings and market presence.

The purpose was to quickly build trust among the team members, accelerate the team’s integration, and enable the team to lead a major transformation of the organisation’s services, products, and performance. Concurrently, the morale of the broader organisation was in need of a significant lift.

The Process

We worked with the executive team to develop a sense of their goals and perspectives, and how they related to the existing business and its industry ties.

Through a combination of facilitating individual and team sessions, the members of the executive team shared their experiences, what they needed from each other to succeed, and agreed on their shared KPIs for the next 12 months.

Through the strategic planning and coaching process, we were able to help the team develop a program of change management and staff engagement. This was presented to their staff and internal stakeholders in a clear, united manner, with the information available to the whole organisation.

The executive team demonstrated their trustworthiness and accountability to the organisation’s staff, who were somewhat sceptical about the transformation process and recent appointments.

This approach was pivotal to the ongoing evolution of the organisation at a time of great change and increasing market competitiveness.
