Overcoming Geographical and Time Constaints to Deliver Impactful Leadership Development.

The Brief
Developing the leadership and management capabilities of clinical leaders.
These leaders were spread across multiple geographical locations, with demanding workloads and limited opportunities for face-to-face interaction. Despite these constraints, there was a strong desire to build collaboration, enhance leadership skills, and provide a platform for sharing diverse perspectives. A traditional, in-person leadership development program was not feasible due to budget limitations and the demanding schedules of clinical leaders.
Improvement in Performance
Studies show that executives who receive coaching report a 70% improvement in work performance, according to the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Increase in Employee Retention Rates
Companies that offer coaching and transition programs during restructuring or layoffs see a 60% increase in employee retention rates, as reported by the Human Capital Institute (HCI).
Faster Reemployment
Outplacement services and career transition coaching can reduce the time it takes for displaced employees to find new jobs by 50%, according to a study by RiseSmart.
Higher Return on Investment (ROI)
The ICF reports that companies receive an average return of A$11.85 for every dollar invested in executive coaching.
The Process
To address these challenges, Future Leadership™ designed and delivered a virtual coaching circle program tailored to their specific needs. This program included:
- Short 2 hour Virtual Coaching Circles: Facilitated group sessions where leaders engaged in structured discussions, shared experiences, and explored leadership models relevant to healthcare.
- Peer Partnering: Participants were paired with a peer partner to meet between sessions, reinforcing learning and fostering cross-service connections.
- Resource Support: Supplementary articles and practical leadership models were provided to support ongoing learning and application in real-life scenarios.
- Focus on Practical Learning: Each session was designed to deliver actionable insights, with an emphasis on real-world application, helping leaders enhance their confidence and capability in their roles.
